Mushroom Farmer

**Position Overview**

We are seeking a **Mushroom Farmer**to oversee and manage critical aspects of our mushroom cultivation processes. The role requires expertise in environmental monitoring, substrate preparation, and ensuring production efficiency to maintain high-quality yields.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Monitor and maintain optimal growing conditions (temperature, humidity, CO₂ levels) in a controlled environment.
- Prepare, sterilize, and inoculate substrates to achieve successful colonization and fruiting.
- Oversee all cultivation stages, including spawning, fruiting, and harvesting processes.
- Collect, analyze, and report production data to identify trends and improve yields.
- Troubleshoot and implement solutions to address contamination, inefficiencies, or yield issues.
- Operate and maintain environmental control systems and sterilization equipment.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure mushrooms meet size, weight, and visual standards.

**Skills and Experience**

**Essential**:

- Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Horticulture, or similar
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in mushroom cultivation or controlled-environment agriculture.
- Strong understanding of environmental controls (e.g., humidity, CO₂, and temperature adjustments).
- Experience in preparing sterile substrates and inoculating mushroom cultures.
- Ability to lift and move items up to 20kg regularly.

**Preferred**:

- Technical troubleshooting skills related to agricultural equipment.
- Proven experience managing production processes and improving operational efficiency.
