What is the role?
Applications are sought from suitably qualified applicants wishing to be considered for the Band 6 Team Leader role within the National Headquarters Property and Exhibits (P&E) Registry. The P&E team is involved with the maintenance of an evidence storage facility and the management of exhibits in accordance with AFP legislative requirements and governance framework. The team is also responsible for maintaining the AFP’s P&E governance framework and ensuring it is contemporary and fit for purpose.
The Team Leader, Property and Exhibits leads and manages a team providing support to investigations through the registering, securing and management of property and exhibits in accordance with AFP legislative requirements. The Team Leader focuses in particular on the development, performance, and productivity and output of team members. The role requires proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook and PROMIS.

What will you do?
Team Leader, Property and Exhibits duties may include, but are not limited to:
Ensuring all resources of the team are effectively managed and directed at supporting investigations through the maintenance of secure evidence storage facilities and management of all exhibits.
Managing and developing team resources to ensure the effective lodgement, storage, movement and, destruction and disposal of property and exhibits in accordance with AFP, Work, Health & Safety (WHS) and other legislative requirements and internal governance.
Implementing, maintaining and assisting in the development of effective procedures, practices and systems for the Property and Exhibits Registry to ensure continuous improvement, productivity and performance improvement, and best practice of the team.
Preparing reports for the Executive in relation to stocktakes, quality control, property holdings, property destruction/disposal, and the lodgement and movement of property and exhibits.
Liaising with external service providers and external agencies to realise effective management of property and exhibits.
Ensuring the effective delivery of ad hoc project work and other Property and Exhibits Registry functions as required, in line with policies, guidelines and legislative environment, including contributing to P&E training acro
