**About the Role**
- Fixed term Part time 0.5 (Leave Replacement)
- Semester One 2026
- Teaching Years 5 - 8 Music
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Plan and deliver engaging classroom Music lessons across Middle Years
- Conduct and direct choral ensembles, fostering high standards across a range of music styles
- Design innovative curriculum and incorporate music technology to enhance learning
- Support student creativity in performance and composition
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop programs that celebrate diversity and excellence in Music
- Uphold MGGS’s commitment to child safety in all aspects of teaching and school life
**About You**:
- Hold current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration or can gain VIT registration. Early career teachers are encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrated expertise in classroom Music education, with experience teaching Years 5-8
- Strong choral conducting skills across a range of styles
- Strong piano accompanying skills
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage students in performance and creative work
- Skilled at using digital tools and music technologies to enrich learning
- Collaborative, inclusive, and committed to developing meaningful musical experiences
