Widgets Early Learning Centre is a family operated service with over 20 years experience in teaching and caring for children. We boast a beautiful outdoor space and clear open indoor spaces, and have a genuine family centred approach to caring for children in early childhood.

We are seeking a strong and passionate early childhood educator with at least 1 year experience. Someone with a Diploma Qualification would be ideal for this role. If you are a Certificate III Qualified Educator, and are willing to undertake a Diploma traineeship, you are welcome to apply. Someone with a keen interest in developing a child centred program would be ideal for this role. We are looking for passion, drive and commitment in our educators as we see our educators as family, and support each other accordingly. This role would have the successful applicant work as part of a team, in a room with two other staff members. You will also be required as a Responsible Person in Day to Day Charge. The role may develop into a full time role as the situation progresses, and you would be required to be available for this also.

**We pay ABOVE award rates.**

Your main responsibilities would include:

- Teaching and caring for the children as room assistant or room leader
- Creating a fun and educational environment for all
- Work as a team with other staff for the day to day management of the centre
- Communicate with families on a daily basis regarding the progress of each child
- Plan, implement and evaluate a child centred program, as well as observations, appropriate for the age group of the room
- Mentoring other staff as Certified Supervisor
- Work alongside the Director to implement changes within the centre and keep abreast of current ideologies and industry changes
- Be passionate, driven and committed to the childcare industry
- Hold 1 yr experience as a Cert III or a Diploma Qualification
- Hold a Cert III with the willingness to undertake a Diploma traineeship
- Be confident and show leadership ability
- Have the ability to manage staff and children as Certified Supervisor
- Have experience documenting and working towards quality learning outcomes
- A working knowledge of the EYLF, NQF, and involvment in the QIP
- Current First Aid, including Asthma, Anaphylaxis Training
- Current Working with Children Check

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $27.00 - $41.00 per hour

- Campbelltown, NSW 2560: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- Certificate I - IV (preferred)
