Full Time position

Based in Canberra looking after the school counselling team working across Canberra and surrounding region.

This role is responsible for managing a team of qualified and dynamic social workers, counsellors, and psychologists. The team is passionate about working with children, young people, and their families. It is a diverse role which includes clinical work, oversight of the program and quality management.

The Role

The role has oversight of the Student & Family Counselling Program which includes the school psychologist roles. It includes:
Operational and contract management
Staff management
Quality Assurance & risk management
Professional development & supervision
Clinical caseload (small)

Ideal person

**The ideal person we are looking for has**:
Tertiary Qualifications as a registered psychologist (AHPRA) or Social Worker (with AASW membership) or Counsellor with PACFA/ACA membership (level 3 or 4)
3-5 years’ counselling experience working with adolescents, children, and families with a range of needs including mental health, trauma and complex needs.
Demonstrated/potential leadership skills and the ability to mentor, develop and manage staff

You will also be required to undergo a National Police Check.

To be considered for this role you will be also required to hold:
a current driver’s licence, and
a Working with Vulnerable People Card
Be double vaccinated against COVID-19
