**The Opportunity**:
- Lithgow City Council _has an exciting opportunity for an **Apprentice Gardener** to join their team in Lithgow, NSW.
During this four year apprenticeship you will complete a Certificate III in Parks and Gardens and you will also undertake practical on the job training as part of the team responsible for the maintenance of Council's Parks and Recreations areas. You will assist in the maintenance of Council's Parks and Recreation areas.
More specifically, your duties will include (but will not be limited to):
- Maintain turf and garden machinery
- Operate machinery including mowers, tractor/ride on machines/gang mowers
- Maintain parks and gardens
- Complete garden construction, materials and activities
- Treat/Lop Trees
- Complete required study within designated timeframe
