**About the Rates Officer role**:
Following a small restructure and internal promotion, we are now looking for a Rates Officer to join our team. In this role you will assist in maintaining the City’s rating records accurately and efficiently, and provide quality customer service to both internal and external customers. You will work closely with the team to assist in achieving the Team’s goals and objectives.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Attend to rating enquiries (counter, telephone, written).
- Process change of addresses and ownerships.
- Assist with maintaining E-Rates notice registrations and processing direct debit payments.
- Investigate and respond to any written or verbal rating queries.

**What you will bring to the role**:
You will align with the City’s values and have the following competencies:

- Well-developed computer and Microsoft software skills.
- High level of numeracy, clerical and bookkeeping skills.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Time management and organisation skills.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to quickly learn new tasks/duties
