**Food Safety and Quality Assessor (Plant Sanitation)**

Our client is a market leader in the poultry processing industry that provides the freshest, top-quality poultry products Australia wide. They are currently looking for a motivated individual to join their Quality team.

This position is ongoing Night Shift Sunday night into Friday morning offering $77,500 + super.

Your key responsibility will be to ensure the implementation of effective and efficient quality assurance systems, allowing the operation to meet or exceed the levels of quality, product development and food safety standards required under legislation.

**Your key accountabilities would be**:

- Conducting Food Safety and Quality Checks
- Reading and understanding Food Safety and Quality Systems including HACCP documentation
- Conduct Food safety & Quality audits at regular intervals and when required and follow through to timely close off
- Work closely with production supervisors, employees and site management to ensure conformance to company standards and specifications.
- Enforce quality standards, perform the necessary daily checks, and provide feedback immediately.
- Conduct internal quality systems audits.
- Daily GMP checks and report immediately on breaches.
- Assist with the development and implementation of Food Safety and Quality policies and procedures.

**Requirements**:

- Solid understanding of Food Safety & Quality Codes, including HACCP.
- Experience in quality assurance within a food related discipline required (Poultry highly regarded).
- Experience of electronic quality management system and production systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to investigate and complete root cause analysis.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to take ownership of projects and work with multiple teams to achieve efficient project completion and within timelines.
- Problem-solving skills - skilled at proposing and implementing solutions to manufacturing defects and recurring quality control issues.
- Communication skills - effective communication is also vital in this role to all other aspects of the plant.
