Primary Responsibilities:
This role offers a dynamic and enjoyable work environment, involving outdoor activities, animal training, grooming, and some transport duties. Key responsibilities include:
1. **Dog Training and Behavior Management**:

- Training the dogs in basic commands (e.g., sit, stay, recall) and advanced skills based on individual or group needs.
- Address behavioral issues such as aggression, anxiety, and leash reactivity using positive reinforcement methods.
- Develop customized training plans to meet the specific needs of each dog and their owner.
- Evaluate dogs’ progress and adjust training techniques as necessary.

2. **Dog Handling and Care**:

- Safely handle and supervise dogs of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
- Ensure the physical and emotional well-being of dogs during training sessions.
- Provide training exercise and enrichment activities to stimulate dogs mentally and physically.

3. **Customer Relations**:

- Communicate with clients to understand their goals, concerns, and expectations for their dogs.
- Offer training advice and educate clients on effective practices to continue at home.
- Deliver detailed progress reports and address any client queries professionally.

4. **Operational Support**:

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe training environment.
- Follow company protocols and ensure compliance with safety standards and animal welfare regulations.
- Support other team members, including groomers and receptionists, to deliver a seamless customer experience

What We’re Looking For:
**Experience**:

- Proven experience (at least 1 year) handling and training dogs in a professional setting.
- Knowledge of animal behavior, training methods, and dog health.

**Essential Skills**:

- Strong understanding of positive reinforcement and other humane training techniques.
- Excellent communication skills for working with clients and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and adaptability when dealing with dogs and their owners.
- Problem-solving skills to address behavioral challenges effectively.
- Organizational skills to manage schedules, training plans, and client interactions.

Physical fitness and the ability to handle large or energetic dogs safely.

- The ability to remain calm under pressure and handle unexpected situations with care.

Employment Package:

- Salary: $74K - $80K per annum
- 4 weeks of annual leave
- Superannuation
- Full-time 38-hour work week
