The Salvation Army Perth Fortress is committed to seeing lives transformed with the love of Jesus. Coffee Booth Café is a space which enables TSAPF to actively care for people by creating a safe place for people to gather and journey alongside one another. The purpose of this role is to give oversight to the day to day operations of Coffee Booth Café to ensure the greater purpose is attainable.
We are seeking a passionate community minded Cafe attendant to join our team. This is a permanent part-time position located at Perth fortress, Northbridge WA.
THE ROLE YOU COULD PLAY
- All customers feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times
- Ensure customers are satisfied with quality of food and beverages served through constant feedback
- Preparing foods, such as sandwiches or baked goods, and grinding and blending coffee beans, brewing coffee and tea, and serving items to customers.
- Selling coffee and tea blends and brewing equipment, highlighting the differences between items and educating customers about brewing methods
- Recruitment and selection processes are implemented and are completed in a timely manner
- Volunteers are to be trained and developed in all aspects of the café including cleaning, food preparation, beverage preparation, money transactions (register) and customer service
- Organisation and operation of budgets in consultation with Corps Officer
- Achieve target sales as set by Corps Officer
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Experience supervising volunteers.
- Barista experience
- Food handling experience
- Working with Children Check (for Child Facing roles)
- Mandatory National Police check
- Safe Food Handling
- Knowledge of legislated requirements under the Food and Beverages Act
