This permanent position offers great job security, an attractive salary and 12 RDOs a year. We are looking for Mechanical and Assembly Technicians. This role will involve reading and interpreting plans, operating a press, hand and power tools. We are looking for people who are available to work across Afternoon Shift which starts at 2:30pm and finishes at approximately 11pm.

**About our client**

Our client is a manufacturer of Turnouts; Switches and Crossings; Fastening Systems and Design & Manufacture of Concrete Bearers. They play a key role in the development and maintenance of Australia's rail infrastructure.

**About the role**

We are looking for Mechanical and Assembly Technicians. No qualifications are needed however this role would be better suited to someone who has mechanical or assembly experience. This role will involve reading and interpreting plans, operating a press, hand and power tools.

We are looking for people who are available to work across Afternoon Shift which starts at 2:30pm and finishes at approximately 11pm.

**Skills/ Experience**
- Cert III in Engineering is preferred however not essential.
- Experience in rail equipment manufacturing is beneficial.
- Mechanically minded and able to problem solve when issues arise.
- Ability to follow plans with great attention to detail.
- Forklift licence is preferred, not essential.
- Highly organised and great time-management skills.
- Be fit and healthy and able to pass a comprehensive medical assessment.
