**What you’ll be doing**

You will be rotating through various aspects of tertiary-level antenatal and intrapartum care, as well as training in Queensland’s busiest general gynaecology unit, providing ample opportunity to complete training requirement.

As the successful applicant you will be expected to be actively involved in these activities.
- Term of after-hours: acting as the senior registrar allocated to labour ward with consultant supervision and oversight.
- 1-2 terms of “Team allocation” involving ANC, caesarean sections, labour ward, gynaecology OPD, gynaecology theatre, early pregnancy clinic, pregnancy assessment centre, ward rounds and management of complex antenatal and postnatal inpatients. All Team roles are closely aligned with 2-3 Team consultants to maximise teaching, support and supervision as the trainee progresses toward increasing independent practice.
- ½ - 1 term of advanced gynaecology: including colposcopy, general gynaecology OPD and theatre.
- Ad hoc weeks attached to the Flying O&G team: working with the allocated consultant to provide gynaecology outpatient and operative services to rural and remote areas of south-west Queensland.
- All trainees are expected to be involved in rostered education sessions, audit, policy review and have the opportunity for involvement in further research.
