**Your new company**

A leader in Tasmanian construction for 25 years, you’ll be joining a stable and experience team. You’ll have the benefit of working in a self-funded construction company, meaning as both the developer and the builder, issues with design and materials can be quickly resolved due to the flat structure of decision making. With the luxury of being selective with construction projects, you’ll work on varied and impressive projects across residential and commercial construction.

**Your new role**

Your new role will involve supervising a team of two other carpenters on anything from formwork to fitout. Working on spectacular projects - such as the renovation of a historic church, you will get to influence your team to produce a fantastic outcome to time and budget. The role is roughly 80% on the tools and 20% organisation.

The culture in the company is get in and get it done, if things need to be varied it happens easily due to the company’s flat structure. It’s a friendly, pro-active and positive team.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Trade qualified carpenter, white card, drivers’ licence
- Demonstrated experience in and extensive knowledge of the building industry
- A strong work ethic
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse team
- A confident and positive attitude
- An ability to problem solve and take initiative on site
- Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to Workplace Health & Safety principles and practices

**What you'll get in return**

The role will pay $45 per hour on a permanent contract. You will also receive a car and a fuel card You’ll be provided with a work phone and laptop. You’ll work a standard 38-hour week with not much overtime expected.
