It also delivers assessment, rehabilitation and allied health services to neighbouring shires. Dhelkaya Health has campuses in Castlemaine and Maldon.
The Allied Health Assistant (AHA) is responsible for carrying out allied health therapies under the direction of the Allied Health Professionals (AHP). The AHA's across Dhelkaya Health work with patients and community clients in the Connolly Rehabilitation unit, Geroe Acute Unit, the Transition Care Program, HIP/ SACS/CHSP programs (outpatients) and residential aged care units.
The AHA will work as part of a dynamic multidiscipline team to deliver therapy as prescribed by the relevant health professional.
The AHA supports activities of daily living, including both group work and one on one therapeutic interventions, and other activities and recreationally focused programs as required to provide client centered care.
