Tilt Renewables’ Engineering Manager will lead our in‐house Engineering team. The Engineering team comprises individuals with a diverse range of skills and expertise, covering a wide range of areas that are relevant for the development, delivery and operation of renewable energy generation and energy storage projects. As well as managing the in‐house team, the Engineering Manager will have oversight over all work prepared for Tilt Renewables by external engineering consultants and advisers.
This is a role that is central to the success of Tilt Renewables’ strategic ambitions. It is an opportunity to play a critical role within a leading Australian renewables business to help drive the energy transition in Australia.
The Engineering Manager will be an effective team leader who is comfortable considering a wide range of engineering matters in relation to our projects. As well as a possessing this generalist engineering capability, the Engineering Manager will have a high level of expertise and capability within one of the core engineering disciplines that are relevant.
This role will oversee the provision of high quality engineering advice to support our projects across all phases of their lifecycle. As a part of the Development leadership team, this role will work closely with other senior members of the development, delivery and operations teams to ensure we continue to develop and deliver our project pipeline and operate our assets and as effectively and efficiently as possible.
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Team Leadership - providing strong leadership, management, oversight and strategic direction setting for the in-house Engineering team.
- General & Subject Matter Expertise - imparting a broad generalist knowledge across the diverse range of engineering disciplines relevant for the development, delivery and operation of our projects together with a high degree of expertise within one of the core engineering disciplines (eg civil, electrical, wind and site)
- Development phase project design - management and oversight of project design including wind turbine layout, civil and electrical BOP utilising internal and external resources
- Construction phase project engineering
- Engagement with consultants
- Providing engineering input into EOI, RFP / ITT or other procurement / tender processes.
- Due diligence - lead and support technical due diligence for financial close of development projects
**Your background**:
With a solid track record of leading engineering teams you will be a qualified and experienced engineer. Direct experience with project developers, utilities, OEMs, construction contracts and/or related fields performing renewable engineering roles for renewable energy projects will see your success in this role.
Ideally you will have extensive experience within onshore wind.
