Hays is currently partnered with a Federal Government organisation to recruit a new APS5 Content Writer/ Guidance Officer to join them in a temporary capacity. This company is an independent statutory agency that is responsible for implementing programs that support a better life those with a significant and permanent disability and their families and carers.

**Your new role**

The APS5 Guidance Officer/ Content Writer is required to undertake activities relating to legislation, policies, procedures, and standards. You will have a considerable level of contact with internal and external stakeholders and will be required to communicate with and provide advice on a range of matters to resolve moderately complex to complex enquiries. You will be required to perform procedural, clerical, administrative and operational tasks that support and contribute to organisational objectives.

Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

- Researching, drafting and updating internal and external guidance with a participant focus that reflects the organisation’s policy positions and meets agency’s plain English and accessibility standards
- Developing or updating guidance material in response to participant and external stakeholder feedback
- Understanding the key stages of the participant pathway, specific participant cohorts and technical processes within SAP CRM and PACE business system requirements
- Providing service delivery knowledge and advice about procedural guidance, practice implementation and operational matters as needed to support an improved participant experience
- Contributing to continuous improvement, maintaining best practice and innovation in the branch
- Managing multiple priorities while maintaining high work standards, governance protocols and accuracy, meeting defined timeframes and performing other duties as requested

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be considered for this role, you will have:

- Tertiary qualifications and or previous experience working in Marketing, Communications, Media, Writing, Content Creation/ Improvement or a related field
- Ability to maintain and develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Capability to assist in the creation and management of projects to drive organisational outcomes
- Manage collaborative and independent work by setting priorities, establishing timelines and leveraging resources
- High standards of performance for self and others; assuming responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments and tasks
