Freight Handler

Allied Express requires highly motivated freight handlers for our busy express freight operations based at our Kewdale Depot.

We have casual positions available.

**AM shifts available**:
Monday, Thursday and Friday 5:30am - 1:30pm

You will be supporting our Inbound Linehaul Days & Country Processing

**PM shifts available**:
Monday, Tuesday, Friday 10:30am - 6:30pm and Wednesday, Thursday 2:30pm - 6:30pm

You will be supporting our Outbound nights & PM Freight Processing

**Your Role**:

- Processing inbound and outbound freight according to Allied and regulatory standards ensuring it meets cut off deadlines
- Manual handling + use of Scanners to sort, unload, and distribute freight
- Helping out with additional tasks as required

**To be successful in this role previous experience and skills must include**:

- You will be part of a team
- The ability to multi-task, adapt to the changing needs and work within a team environment.
- The ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
- Adhere to safe work practices and procedures.
- Attention to detail and ability to complete set tasks.
- Have a "Positive - Can Do" Attitude.
- Be prepared to perform Manual Handling Tasks - sorting freight, loading and unloading trucks.
- Having a forklift license is desirable.
