**About the opportunity**:
The National Centre for Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM) is forging new frontiers in naturopathic medicine, lifestyle medicine, and integrative medicine, through pioneering research, robust clinical trials and leading academic courses.

An initiative of Southern Cross University, the NCNM is actively strengthening the evidence base for naturopathy by conducting rigorous, relevant research. NCNM is also upskilling current and future naturopaths to conduct research, scrutinise the evidence, and advocate for patients and the profession. It is our mission to empower patients and improve health by facilitating access to the best of integrative and conventional therapies. We are committed to educating healthcare professionals and delivering research outcomes which provide life-changing solutions for patient care.

The NCNM is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified educators to be part of a casual pool for teaching in the Centre’s suite of naturopathic medicine programs (Bachelor of Health Science, Master of Naturopathic Medicine, and Master of Advanced Naturopathic Medicine). The duties of the casual teaching staff may include:

- Classroom teaching, including lectures, tutorials, workshops or intensive classes
- Online teaching including online lectures, tutorials and discussion forums
- Marking and moderation
- Curriculum and resource development

**About you**:
You will be a passionate and qualified naturopath with prior teaching experience preferably within naturopathic medicine. Ideally, you will have:

- A postgraduate degree or extensive experience in the relevant field and/or higher education;
- Knowledge of teaching technologies; and
- Ability to contribute to a positive learning environment focused on engagement and outcomes.

It is also highly desirable if you have:

- Experience in the design, development, implementation and/or evaluation curriculum;
- Experience in case-based and inquiry-based learning approaches; and

**Salary and benefits**:

- These opportunities are based at our Gold Coast and Lismore campuses. We also have opportunities online (work from home).
- Casual academic staff are remunerated according to the category of their duties, as detailed in SCU’s Enterprise Agreement. The casual rates of pay can be found here.
- Hours can vary and are largely dependent on enrolment numbers
