**The Role**

A Florist is responsible for

delivering high levels of customer service to ensure customers experience the true MarketPlace fresh experience. They are responsible for stock handling, floor setup, quality management and effective merchandising across all sections of the store.

**We are looking for experienced florists for our stores in Knox and Parkmore.**

The main responsibilities include:

- Serving walk in customers
- Preparing orders for delivery and collection
- Making a range of beautiful bouquets/arrangements to sell in the shop
- Conditioning and pricing flowers,cleaning, general floristry duties
- Merchandising the shop displays (inside and out) care of plants
- Wrapping arrangements properly and ensuring they have a beautiful presentation

**Key Selection Criteria**:

- Experience in similar role is required.
- Florist certification is preferred.
- Flexibility around peak periods such as Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and Christmas (essential)
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrate experience in exceptional customer service.
- Effective time management and ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to work in a team and coordinate with one another.
- Flexibility with one's availability.
- Cash handling Experience.
- Experience working with POS & EFTPOS.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Police check required.

**Salary**: $23.00 - $33.00 per hour
