An exciting opportunity exists for a professorial level leader to join the college as The Associate Dean of Student Success. This role is pivotal in shaping and enhancing the student experience, academic achievement, and overall success of our diverse student body.
This role is suited to an energetic and passionate leader, determined to shape the forefront of student success. You will implement innovative institution-wide programs and initiatives aimed at fostering student engagement, retention and academic progression.
Your expertise in analysing quantitative data for informed decision-making, coupled with your leadership in championing DE&I practices and fostering cohesive, integrated approaches to student success, positions you to add unprecedented value. Your contributions will complement the current leadership team, bringing essential expertise to further enhance our collective impact.
- This position can be held from Sydney or Melbourne._
**Responsibilities include**:
- Visionary leadership for student success initiatives in line with strategic goals
- Foster collaboration with academic disciplines and stakeholders for integrated student support.
- Design and oversee college-wide programs for retention, progression, and timely degree completion
- Implement evidence-based practices for enhanced student engagement, academic performance, and wellbeing
- Monitor program effectiveness through data analysis, making adjustments for optimal outcomes
- Oversee and lead high-quality student support services including the Learning Hub and student counselling teams
- Collaborate for accessible, inclusive support services meeting diverse student needs
- Drive quantitative data insights to inform best practice, developing new ideas for continuous improvement
- Identify barriers to student success and implement evidence-based strategies to address them effectively
- A terminal degree (Ph.D., Ed.D., or equivalent) in a relevant discipline from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated experience in higher education leadership, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in leadership roles of increasing responsibility.
- Eligibility for appointment as a Professor or Associate Professor, with a distinguished record of scholarly achievement and teaching excellence.
- Expertise in student success theory, research, and practice, with a deep understanding of the factors that contribute to student retention, progression, and academic achievement.
- Proven ability to develop and implement institution-wide programs and initiatives to support student success, including experience with program evaluation and assessment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and build consensus around shared goals.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, with experience working with diverse student populations and a demonstrated commitment to promoting social justice in higher education.
