**OneMaker Academy** is an initiative of Pacific Hills Christian School, launched in 2013 for the performing arts. The direction and coordination of many music and dance programs available to Pacific Hills students is set by OMA. It is seen to complement our students experience of the music, dance and drama curriculum and enhance their journey within the performing arts. The OMA office is located on the lower level of the Performing Arts Centre, where most Music and Dance programs take place. OMA is a forward-thinking academy available to the community as well. People of all ages and levels from the community are able to access all of our services, including Music tuition and Dance classes. With the impressive facilities and team of industry professionals, students from Pacific Hills and the community will be inspired to dream bigger, achieve excellence and be nurtured to use their creative gifts to MAKE DREAMS RISE

**Desired Skills and Experience**:
Our tumbling program aims to create a safe and supportive environment for both recreational and competitive dancers to develop their skills. For recreational students, the focus is on learning tumbling techniques for fun, with practice primarily on mats throughout the year and during the End of Year Concert. For our competitive dancers, the goal is to help them master their skills safely and consistently on mats, with the ultimate aim of transitioning these skills onto hard floors while wearing the appropriate footwear for that style.

The teacher plays a key role in injury prevention and management, ensuring that each student is only performing exercises suited to their individual needs. Although the classes are levelled, each child within the class varies in needs, therefore it’s essential that the teacher maintains a keen awareness of these differences and tailors instruction accordingly to support each student’s growth.

Effective management and a focus on safety are critical. We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about helping students improve their skills while creating a fun and engaging learning environment.
