**About Us**:
The Corrections and Justice Services (CJS) group, comprising Corrections Victoria, Justice Health and Justice Services, plays an integral role in developing safer and more resilient communities and in delivering a trusted justice and community safety system.
Corrections Victoria is responsible for the implementation of policies, programs and services that ensure the safe and secure containment of prisoners, and that seek to rehabilitate offenders by addressing the underlying causes of offending behaviour.
**About the Role**:
At the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre (DPFC), each Justice Officer role specialises in one of four streams - Records/Property, Human Resources, Finance/Stores and Administration. Over time, and with appropriate support and training, Justice Officers may be rotated between these streams to provide career enhancement opportunities to those staff, and operational flexibility to the prison.
This position will require direct prisoner contact and may involve weekend and public holiday work, remunerated in accordance with the applicable provision of the VPS Determination.
**Some of your duties will include**:
- Under limited direction, providing a range of high quality, confidential and efficient administrative services and support to the PIU.
- Supporting and assisting with strategic, tactical and operational intelligence reports and briefings for PIU and prison management.
- Proactively gathering, recording, and analysing information from all available prison sources including targeted prisoner mail.
**About You**:
- Knowledge of the Corrections Act 1986 and Corrections Regulations 1998 and other relevant legislation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of, or the capacity to learn, computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite and internal information management systems including Centurion (or equivalent), PIMS and E-Justice.

Upon commencement of employment with the department you will be required to provide evidence that you have an up-to-date vaccination status within the timelines specified by the department into the DJCS Service Portal. This includes evidence of three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine required by the department (from time to time).

Other documentation outside the above will not be accepted as evidence of having received your COVID-19 vaccine doses.
