Driver /labourer

**Pay rate: $30.85 per hour, 38 hours per week.**

**About Our Client and Roles**

This position is responsible for making a significant contribution within the Physical Operations Department by maintaining a high level of cleanliness and general appearance of the City by performing waste collection duties.

**Your primary responsibilities will include**:

- Carry out any domestic/green waste collection duties as directed without risk to yourself or others
- Drive waste collection vehicle as required in a safe and competent manner
- Maintain the waste collection vehicle in use, in a clean condition at all times
- Complete tasks each day as per the daily schedule
- Complete all daily work sheets as required and/or directed
- Wear safety equipment/protective clothing issued
- Actively participate, as required, in any review of waste collection procedures
- Attend training and meetings as required

**The Successful Applicant will have**:
HR licence required & experience operating ie loader waste collection vehicles. Experience operating rear loaders desirable

Knowledge of manual handling techniques and OHS Standards essential.

Demonstrated ability to operate side loader waste collection vehicles.

Experience in the use of rear loader waste collection vehicles is an advantage

Knowledge of the Waste Industry.

Be COVID vaccinated and willing to obtain a Police Check upon successful placement
