**Time Commitment**:2 days per week, minimum 6 month commitment

**Organisational Overview**:
For over 20 years, Mahboba’s Promise has been dedicated to providing a sustainable future to vulnerable women and children in Afghanistan. The organisation has strong ties to communities both in Afghanistan and Australia and utilises these links to foster and develop relationships that protect and enhance the future of the Afghan people. Since its inception, Mahboba’s Promise has established schools, shelters, health clinics, supplied resources and built critical infrastructure across Afghanistan. The organisation has also provided sponsorships to widows and orphans in need helping those who need it most to secure a more equitable quality of life.

**Job Summary**:
We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic volunteer to join our Marketing & Communications Team at Mahboba's Promise. This volunteering experience will allow you to share and develop your knowledge and skills in marketing, and expand your professional network. As a Marketing Coordinator you will be accountable to complete a range of tasks, as such you will need to be a highly motivated and organised individual. Some of the tasks you will be responsible for include maintaining Mahboba's Promise's presence across social media platforms, executing key strategic marketing initiatives alongside the Marketing Manager such as annual and emergency appeals and campaigns, and creating and managing communications across our donor base.

**Responsibilities**:

- Contribute to the development of the Marketing & Communications Team's policy and procedures and work collaboratively with the Operations Team to remove inefficiencies where possible.
- Develop the online presence of Mahboba's Promise across social media channels including creating dynamic written, graphic and video content for social media platforms.
- Monitor and present key marketing events and opportunities to Marketing Manager that may benefit the organisation.
- Execute appeals and campaign-related activities across the organisation to increase new donor base.
- Use analytical tools such as Google Analytics to measure campaigns effectiveness and report on these initiatives to Marketing Manager.
- Manage website content and design and ensure changes across all platforms are consistent with branding and voice.
- Create marketing EDM’s and quarterly newsletters and assist the Sponsorship/Donor Care team in communicating the story of Mahboba's Promise and our work to existing donors

- Bachelors degree in Marketing/Communications (or working towards one).
- Experience with systems such as Mail Chimp, CMS WordPress, Google Ads and Google Analytics (desirable but not required).
- An interest in international affairs and development, the NFP sector and/or Afghanistan and its development context.
