Steps2Life Care is growing, and we are in the search to find an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner's to join our team.

Our team consists of Speech, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Counselling and Support Services professionals our services who provide in-clinic, mobile, and telehealth services to our valued clients.

We aim to provide consistently high standard of services in all areas of development, no matter the age. We don’t see any diagnosis or disability as a barrier, but rather as a steppingstone, a first step to many more steps toward a goal. Our services do not solely focus on the individual, but also on their loved one whether it’s through parent training or counselling.

**ABOUT YOU**: We are looking for a Behaviour Support Practitioner who will be a positive addition to our great team. You will embody our values in helping clients by providing a high standard of care and therapeutic services.

**THE ROLE**: This is a full-time role, however this is negotiable. Our clinician must be able to offer a broad range of services to individuals and groups including, but not limited to:

- Assisting NDIS participants, along with their families and/or carers, to identify their needs through assessment and person-centered planning
- Experience in writing and implementing measurable and evidence based Positive Behaviour Support Plans
- Understanding of, and experience within the NDIS environment
- Experience working with both Paediatric and adult clients
- A thorough understanding of positive behaviour support
- Ability to make effective decisions in complex situations
- Ability to effectively supervise and mentor Behaviour Therapy Assistants
- Education and support of individuals, including family members, caregivers, and others, through a collaborative and consultative partnerships through a family-centred approach
- Care coordination, case management, and transition services including discharge planning, client advocacy, and onward referral to relevant services
- Manage a varied caseload
- Developing meaningful goals and practical strategies utilising a positive behaviour support framework
- Ensuring individual plans reflect our NDIS participants' goals, passions and strengths, as well as ensuring they get more out of life
- Acting as an advocate and role model for best practice
- Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Adherence to the Core Principles of the PBS Capability Framework

**THE MUST HAVES**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Social Science, Rehabilitation Counselling or other NDIS PBS recognised qualifications for the provision of Positive Behaviour Support.
- Exceptional planning and organising skills.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Able to work to with guidelines and deadlines in a timely manner.
- Sound computer literacy
- Police check
- Current Working with Children Check or willing to obtain
- NDIS Worker Clearance or willing to obtain
- Class C Drivers licence and a reliable and fully insured car
- Happy and willing to travel to client's premises, preschools and schools

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 16-24 per week

**Salary**: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
