**About the opportunity**:
The Cyber Security Analyst, Incident Response primary role is to assist in ensuring the Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF) can meet its responsibility as the lead South Australian Government agency for cyber security and cyber resilience. The role will provide project support for the expansion of the centralised incident response capability, assist with tooling and playbook development, and provide technical expertise in response to cyber incidents.

**About you**:
To be successful you will:

- Develop and maintain a knowledge base of the relevant tools, technologies, and best practices associated to Cyber Security.
- Assist in delivering key initiatives to uplift cyber security for the South Australian Government.
- Support the establishment of a centralised advanced incident response capability, to proactively defend the South Australian Government against evolving cyber threats.
- Support the development of centralised Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) processes, standard operating procedures and playbooks for incident detection, analysis, containment, and eradication.
- Support the review and uplift of incident response tooling, including dedicated Out-of-Band and forensics environments, incident tracking, forensics and communication tools.
- Assist with response activities to critical incidents, threat, vulnerabilities and bring these issues to resolution.
- Support the department to meet its responsibilities as the Control Agency for both a cyber crisis and telecommunications crisis under the South Australian Emergency Management arrangements.
- Work effectively as part of the Cyber Security team, establish collaborative working relationships and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Actively engage in a range of opportunities, this may involve collaboration, project management, problem solving, analysing information and contributing to outcomes and improvements.
