**The Role**
We are looking for motivated, high performing individuals to fill a number of APS 5 roles within the Directorate:
Internal Audit - Technical:

- An internal IT audit expert with a passion for maintaining high standards, and driving business improvement.
- Strong interest, experience and technical skills in technology assurance and risk and IT audit will be advantageous in this role.
- You will be responsible for assisting in research, planning and conduct of high quality technical assurance audits, and supporting recommendations for continuous improvement and corrective actions.
- This role will require detailed knowledge of complex platform and technology architecture and understanding of current standards, best practice processes and methodologies, internal control concepts and risk management frameworks, to enable effective review of compliance.
- This role will equally require supporting the development of papers and reports, and discussing findings with stakeholders.

Internal Audit - Project:

- A project governance expert with a passion for maintaining high standards, and driving business improvement.
- A strong interest in project analysis and expertise in project controls and risk management will be advantageous in this role.
- You will be responsible for assisting in research, planning and conduct of high quality project assurance audits, and supporting recommendations for continuous improvement and corrective actions.
- This role will require an in-depth knowledge of compliance with complex project management practices and methodology, and internal control concepts and risk management frameworks, to enable effective review of performance.
- This role will equally require supporting the development of papers and reports, and discussing findings with stakeholders.

Assurance Officers:

- An audit and assurance officer with a passion for providing high-quality services, with a focus on fostering collaborative relationships with audit stakeholders.
- You will coordinate and perform quality assurance checks, governance and corporate reporting activities, and contribute to providing guidance to DDG executive supporting decision-making.
- An understanding of internal and external audit controls or risk management will be advantageous in this role.
- This role will require acquiring knowledge of Defence’s mission and policy requirements, and DDG’s objectives and key projects.

The Directorate of Risk, Assurance and Audit is a small hard-working team, providing high quality and proactive risk, assurance and audit services supporting DDG’s strategic direction and decision-making.

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and manage work independently;
- Strong written skills with experience in writing and preparing corporate documents;
- Exceptional communication skills in order to communicate complex information to a non-technical audience; and
- The ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, and senior executive.
