Mercedes-Benz Adelaide are seeking a professional, driven Assistant Sales Manager to support the Sales Manager in the daily operations of the sales department and act as Sales Manager during absences. You will utilise your sales experience to achieve your own individual performance KPIs, as well as support the team towards success in both performance and positive workplace culture.
What will you be doing
- Assist in the setting of short
- and long-term sales targets for the sales team
- Support & assist the Sales Manager with ensuring sales consultants follow the sales process in accordance with company procedures
- Ensure staff levels are adequate to meet targets
- Actively prospect and monitor new business opportunities with the sales team, new clients and existing clients
- Monitor market trends and advise the Sales Manager of changes in competition, product availability or related matters and provide suitable action plans
- Ensure relations with the manufacturer are maintained to the highest standards and coordinate manufacturer requirements
- Ensure the sales team present the brand to every customer in a professional manner
- Support the team with key accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
- Ensure customer service matters are dealt with promptly and efficiently
- Provide support and training to the sales team to achieve desired customer satisfaction
- Regularly review monthly P&L accounts, vehicle stock levels and stock ageing levels and identify areas requiring attention
- Ensure all records of the sales department are kept in accordance with company policy and legislative requirements
- Participate and assist in the regular briefings and sales training meetings for sales department
- Assist the Sales Manager with direction and support to the sales team to achieve sales objectives and targets
- Assist with the evaluation process on performance of the sales team and provide regular feedback to sales consultants
