Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Apprentice to join our team. As an apprentice, you will work alongside an experienced technician across various locations in Sydney, learning all aspects of the air conditioning and refrigeration trade. You will gain hands-on experience in installation, maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics while studying towards your Certificate III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, work hard, and develop a long-term career in the HVAC industry.

Role Description

Work alongside qualified technicians to install, service, and maintain air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Assist in fault finding, repairs, and preventative maintenance of equipment. Support the team with the installation of ductwork, grilles, compressors, motors, and piping. Use a variety of hand and power tools safely and efficiently. Assist with job site setup, clean-up, and documentation. Maintain a strong focus on workplace safety, following all OHS procedures. Develop customer service skills by assisting in estimating, invoicing, and liaising with clients. Be available for overtime when required.

**Required Skills**:
Physically fit and capable of working at heights and in confined spaces. Valid C-Class driver’s license preferred. White Card OHS Construction Induction Card. Legally entitled to work in Australia. Strong interest in the air conditioning and refrigeration industry. Punctual, reliable, and eager to learn. Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. National Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one upon job offer. Enrolment or willingness to enrol in a Certificate III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration.

Preferred Skills

Pre-apprenticeship qualification or relevant industry experience. Experience as a trade assistant or laborer in a similar role. Working at Heights Certificate. Ability to interpret safety policies and procedures.Strong communication skills written and verbal.
