We are currently seeking experienced Kitchen Hands to join the team providing support services at Bethanie Joondanna Aged Care Home, on a **permanent part-time** basis. The successful applicant will need to be available to work the following shifts:
**Week 1: Mon: 7-1pm Tues: 7-1pm Friday 3-7pm**

**Week 2: Mon: 7-1pm Tues: 3-7pm Thurs: 3-7pm**

To be successful in this role, you will have experience or an interest in food preparation and be of a friendly nature, as interaction with our residents is core to our culture.

**About You**
- Possess a passion for or previous experience working as a Kitchen Hand, ideally in an aged care, hospital or similar environment
- Have a ‘can do’ attitude and a genuine compassion for our residents
- Reliable with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The Bethanie Group
- Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations

**The Role**
- Ensuring responsible work practices of food preparation, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Ensuring required ingredients are available daily
- Assisting in the preparation and serving of meals
- Maintaining all utensils, equipment, work benches and general surrounds in a clean and safe condition
- Collecting and washing pots, pans, crockery and cutlery
