**About the Role**:
As a Principal in Client Development, you'll play a pivotal role in driving our regional client strategy, building long-lasting partnerships, and shaping the future of our business. This position provides a unique opportunity to work with senior decision-makers, develop high-level client strategies, and lead business development initiatives that significantly contribute to Unispace's success in the Sydney market.

**What You'll Do**:

- **Strategic Planning & Execution**: Develop and execute regional client development strategies, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to achieve business objectives.
- **Client Insights & Collaboration**: Gather client insights from across the region, working closely with our Client Engagement team to refine strategies that target Unispace's core markets.
- **Project-Specific Strategy**: Lead the creation and implementation of tailored strategies for individual projects, ensuring strong alignment with both core and strategic accounts.
- **Client Relationship Management**: Map, manage, and expand key client relationships across the region, actively engaging with new and existing clients to secure opportunities.
- **Reporting & Technology**: Maintain accurate reporting on project opportunities and risks through systems like Salesforce, ensuring transparency and strategic decision-making.
- **Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration**: Partner with our regional teams to develop and implement localised client strategies focusing on key geographical and industry sectors.
- **Networking & Engagement**: Actively engage with clients through meetings, events, and networking opportunities, fostering strong and sustainable relationships.
- **Communication & Awareness**: Promote communication across various disciplines to enhance awareness of project specifics and ensure effective resource allocation.
- **Client Development Practices**: Implement best practices, processes, and technology solutions to boost organisational effectiveness across the studios.
- **Ethical Compliance**: Ensure all client development activities comply with Unispace's ethical standards and practices.

**What You Bring**:

- **Educational Background**: A certificate or degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience in a commercial environment.
- **Industry Expertise**: Proven experience in a regional role within the Design & Build sector, with a deep understanding of commercial real estate transactions and client procurement models.
- **Client Engagement**: A track record of success in client presentations and securing high-profile projects through effective pitching.
- **Team Leadership**: Experience leading and developing high-performing business development teams, with excellent communication skills and the ability to make an impact.
- **Commercial Acumen**: Strong knowledge of market dynamics, procurement processes, and the ability to influence decision-makers while building consensus.
- **Relationship Building**: Exceptional ability to manage and grow client relationships, ensuring lasting partnerships and repeat business.
- **Results-Driven**: A strategic, results-oriented approach with a focus on meeting regional business development targets and goals.
