Well renowned client based in the Eastern suburbs seeking a Purchasing Officer who can start immediately for a 6 week assignment.

PROCUREMENT OFFICER - 6 WEEKS

We are assisting our Client based in the Eastern suburbs who are seeking a Purchasing Officer who can start immediately for a 6 week assignment.

**The role**
- Verifying invoices and progressing to accounts team
- Raising weekly purchase orders on the ERP system via PO Gen weekly, daily or on demand
- Working in close conjunction with the Inventory demand planner and raising exceptional purchase orders
- Maintaining the stock records and supplier data information
- Accountable for checking the supply invoices with the purchase orders including any receipt discrepancies against Purchase orders.
- Maintaining workflows and managing purchase requisition backlogs and work with the Purchasing assistant on expediting of overdue orders
- Ensuring the correct allocation of cost centres for all goods
- Ensuring the purchasing process meets all the obligations and expectations of our internal and external customers
- Liaising with the Accounts Payable team to manage outstanding invoices
- Purchasing or Procurement experience is ESSENTIAL
- Experience raising purchase orders would be preferred
- Have the ability to pick up new computer systems
- Outstanding organisational skills
- The ability to assist wider team with general admin duties
