Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide. An exciting opportunity currently exists for a highly experienced** Public Health Systems and Digital Innovation Lead** to join our **North Eastern Public Health Unit.**
The North Eastern Public Health Unit (NEPHU) is one of nine public health units in Victoria: three in metropolitan Melbourne and six covering regional Victoria. Together these units form a coordinated network, working in partnership with the Department of Health to deliver a comprehensive public health program for Victoria. The NEPHU is led and coordinated by Austin Health and works in partnership with Northern Health and Eastern Health in a networked operational structure with responsibility spanning approximately 1.85m people living in the northeast of metropolitan Melbourne. The NEPHU is proud of its diverse multidisciplinary team who reflect the community we serve.
The Public Health Systems and Digital innovation Lead reports to the Senior Manager Intelligence, Systems and Digital Innovation and leads a team responsible for the development, maintenance, management and continuous improvement of the NEPHU informatics and analytics systems and digital environment. The Systems and Digital innovation Lead will have a key role in designing, enhancing and integrating databases and other systems to support NEPHU operations.
**To be successful in this role you will have**:
- Relevant tertiary qualification in information technology, data science, informatics, epidemiology, analytics or related field or proven success in similar role
- Experience leading technical systems, analytics, informatics and/or digital innovation functions
- Demonstrable experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence Suite such as SSIS, SSRS, Power BI, SSAS, Power Apps, Tableau, Azure Data Factory, Data Bricks, R, SQL server
- Experience in the extraction, transfer, analysis, reporting and presentation of data, with a high level of attention to detail
- Possess the ability to manage competing demands with a structured approach to problem resolution
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a consultative approach and a proven ability to build productive working relationships with a range of stakeholders and work as part of a team to influence outcomes.
