Are you an expert specialising in the Building industry?

If so, we currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Asset Systems and Planning team as an Asset Planner-Buildings.

The primary purpose of this position is to support the Rolling Capital Works Program through the Project Management Office (PMO) and Framework (PMF).

**Your duties in this role will include**:

- Assist the Team Leader to develop and deliver the Rolling Capital Works Program through Council’s Project Management Framework
- Scoping/preparation of project briefs for council owned buildings and costing of Capital Works projects.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Council's Delivery Program, Operational Plan and the Unit Plan
- Review and approve draft and preliminary construction drawings provided by the Works & Projects Unit
- Prepare and maintain relevant policies, guidelines and concept drawings for related asset categories
- Carry out site inspections associated with building handover and asset condition assessments.

Depending on skills, the starting salary for this position commences at $84,005 (Grade G, Step 1) + 10.5% Super

Essential Qualifications and Experience for this role;
- Tertiary qualifications in Buildings, similar field or equivalent related experience and must have sound building knowledge
- Understanding and knowledge of the NCC (BCA), Australian Standards and the State Environmental Planning Policies.
- Demonstrated experience in scoping building works for design and construction and the preparation of Development Application documentation.
- Preparation of building cost estimates
- Class C Driver's Licence
- WH&S Construction Induction White Card
- Thorough understanding and use of Microsoft Office suite of programmes
- Well developed written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders.

**Desirable Qualifications and Experience for this role;**
- Qualification and experience in Project Management
- Knowledge of electrical, HVAC and mechanical systems
