**About the position**
As a Therapy Assistant you will deliver therapy programs to our clients under instruction and guidance of a qualified Allied Health Professional. Therapy programs will include individual and group therapy programs for clients, in an individual and family centred model of practice.
This position is for our outreach service, you will be based locally in Warwick or surrounds with our therapists completing regular outreach trips to support you in person and you will also receive support from therapists remotely. You will be provided with a laptop and phone. This is a casual position, envisaged to be between 4 - 10 hours per fortnight, and will be based in the community.
**Key Responsibilities**
As a Therapy Assistant, you will:
- Support our clients and their families to achieve their therapy goals with Physiotherapy, OT and Speech programs.
- Further your experience in the fast growing disability sector, whilst receiving ongoing and careful support from our Allied Health Professionals
- Be a champion for our customers and support them to achieve their goals and independence
**Key Requirements**
- Allied Health students living locally, perhaps studying externally - **or;**:
- Certificate IV in Allied Health, either completed or nearing completion - **or;**:
- Fully qualified and/or experienced Allied Health Assistant (min Cert III) - **or;**:
- Experience working with children or people with disabilities in a similar role, perhaps as a disability support worker or teacher’s aide.
- Hold a valid QLD Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening clearance
- Have completed the NDIS Worker Orientation Module training
- Be a highly motivated and caring individual.
- Hold current First Aid and CPR.
- A current drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and an understanding of the importance of professional boundaries and scope of practice.
- Capacity to assist in all duties and be confident to do so autonomously.
- General computer skills.
- A high level of energy & enthusiasm towards the work you do.

**Covid Vaccination Status**
