**Description**:
The role requires a person with extensive functional and non-functional testing experience. Experience with manual and automated testing using industry standard testing tools. Ability to work on their own initiative and work through their deliverables. Be an advocate of quality, have a thorough understanding of the importance of testing and advise on best testing practice.
- Evaluate requirements early with the delivery team in refinement sessions, to reduce mistakes later in the SDLC
- Design and write appropriate tests for functional and non-functional system, integration, regression, and PVT. Prioritise tests and identify test data to support test conditions and test cases
- Capture traceability between requirements, test conditions and test cases
- With test analysis, test design and execution, verify the product is complete and validate if it works as the users and stakeholders expect
- Perform manual and automated testing using industry standard testing tools
- Record, manage and retest defects with constructive, clear, and informative information and follow all defects through to resolution and closure
- Testing tools are used appropriately to deliver effective and efficient testing outcomes
- Provide realistic estimates for manual and automation testing activities
- Define, create, and maintain automated tests to meet software release deliverables and project testing requirements
- Collaborate with development teams across the group to ensure a consistent approach to testing and automation approach and testing tools
- Facilitate and participate in show cases and other shared learnings to enhance and share skills with team members
- Participate in retrospective sessions and advocate for improved processes and ways of working and follow-up on action items
- Actively plan and contribute to scrum and project meetings and follow-up on deliverables and action items - huddles, sprint planning, sprint refinements and project meetings

**Skills and Experiences**:

- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels in both verbal and written communications
- The ability to work within and contribute to a team environment and build and maintain effective working relationships with the Melbourne Delivery team and the HUB24 group
- Able to negotiate and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Tertiary qualifications and ISTQB qualification in Software Testing
- Minimum 5 years system testing experience
- Extensive experience as a functional test analyst with system testing and integration testing and regression testing
- Experience with documenting test cases and test steps in test management tools
- A thorough understanding of risk-based testing and how it’s applied, to reduce testing effort without compromising quality
- The ability to work on your own initiative and manage your own workload to meet deadlines
- Experience with ETL or data transformations and automation of data validations would be highly regarded
- Understanding of SDLC, TDLC and CICD processes
- Experience with API testing
- Experience writing Mongo and SQL queries to fetch, update and create test data
- Experience working in Agile development teams
- Experience with Agile Tools like Azure Dev Ops and Confluence
