We are currently recruiting for **Auditors** to be deployed in the Shire of Kattaning.
The Shire of Katanning is centrally located in the 'heart' of the Great Southern. It offers the advantages of a rural lifestyle, with the convenience of easy access to the cities of Perth, Albany and Bunbury. While the area is essentially agricultural, the town is a regional centre with access to a range of recreation and leisure facilities, government, health and education services, as well as a diverse retail and business district.
The townsite is situated on the Great Southern Highway, with the main entrance framed by the picturesque and adventurous All Ages Playground and the newly completed Welcome to Katanning roundabout.
**THE ROLE**
Our client is seeking for experienced Auditors who will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating financial records, statements, and reports of an organisation to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, as well as accuracy and reliability of financial information.
The role entails the following responsibilities:
- Conducting financial audits of organisation to verify the accuracy and completeness of financial records and reports
- Examining financial statements and reports to ensure compliance with accounting standards and applicable laws and regulations
- Assessing internal control systems and identifying areas of weakness or risk for the organisation
- Preparing reports of audit findings and recommendations, and presenting these to management and stakeholders
- Providing advice on financial and accounting matters, including risk management and compliance issues
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards, legislation, and industry developments
**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
The required skills and experience for this position include:
- At least 2 years of recent work experience
- Conducting audits including assessing the risk of material misstatement in financial statements, designing audit procedures, and testing controls and transactions.
- Providing recommendations on how to improve their financial reporting processes and internal controls.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including tax laws, corporate governance rules, and accounting standards.
- Preparing detailed reports outlining their findings and recommendations
- Maintaining the highest level of professional standards, including independence, objectivity, and integrity.
**INTERNATIONAL CANDIDATES**
1. Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Accounting and CPA/CA
2. Professional experience: Minimum two years
4. Health and character requirements: You must meet the health and character requirements set by the Australian government.
