A Government department based South of Perth CBD, is seeking a Bridge Inspection Officer to start ASAP

**Your new company**

A major State Government department based South of Perth CBD, is looking to hire a Bridge Inspection Officer commencing immediately. This organisation has parking available on site, and the role will require you to frequently travel to various metropolitan and regional locations in WA. You can expect to return to Perth every weekend, working a 9-day fortnight (five on, three off, four on, two off).

**Your new role**

As a Bridge Inspection Officer you will be responsible for:

- Assisting with bridge inspections on timber bridges
- Assisting the team to complete structural inspections, involving minor excavations using hand tools
- Identify defects as required, ensuring a safe site and writing up reports on this as needed
- Assist the team leader with traffic and safety management (i.e. working adjacent to traffic, working near water, working at heights etc.).

**What you'll need to succeed**

In order to be considered for this role you will display:

- Experience with hand tools (minor excavations)
- An understanding and awareness on safety
- Working at Heights
- A traffic management qualification or certificate would be desirable (TC/BWTM)

**What you'll get in return**

You will be engaged with a State Government department on a temporary basis, working a 9-day fortnight. Meal or travel allowances will be provided for when required to travel to site.
