Cabinet Making /Joinery /Shop Fitter Trade Qualifications
- Able to read and understand Joinery drawings and Plans
- Preparing layouts
- Ensuring work is performed in accordance of Health and Safety.
- Assembly of Joinery Units.
- Ability to work with many Finishes Veneers, Laminates, Aluminum Sections etc
- Communication with Clients and Staff
- Able to carry out site measures when required
- Able to follow Instructions and Deadlines
- Knowledge of all joinery Applications and Tools
- Ensure understanding of Scope of work, specifications and drawings, including interpret technical drawings, plans, specifications
- Ensure work is in conformance to drawings, plans and customer specifications, company standards and other regulation requirements
- Ensure safe operation of equipment and machinery to be used in joinery fabrication / assembly
- Ensure projects are delivered to a quality standard (free of defects) consistent to customers requirements.
- Ensure all duties are undertaken in a courteous and polite manner, demonstrate commitment to excellent customer service by being polite, showing respect for property, maintaining expected standards of work and ensuring workspace is kept tidy
- Carry out technical tasks to support joinery delivery / installation
- Manage workshop / site logistics (Joinery Trade deliveries)
- Complete Trade Quality & HSE records

- Be conversant and comply with Ahrens’ Health, Safety, Environment and Quality policies and procedures as documented within the HSQE Management Systems. In particular, ensure that you understand the HSQE responsibilities applicable to your role and report any hazards, incidents or concerns to your supervisor as soon as possible.
- Ensure early reporting of injuries and support rehabilitation and return to work practices, in accordance with company procedures.
