The Children's Court of Victoria (ChCV) has jurisdiction under the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005 to hear cases involving children and young people up to the age of 18 years, and in some cases up to 19 years. It has a Family Division and a Criminal Division and it sits at locations throughout metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria.
About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Online Hearings Registry Manager, Registrar is responsible for daily operations of the Children's Court registry including the management of processes and staff within the registry.
The Online Hearings Registry Manager, Registrar will assist in the development and implementation of practices and procedures at the Melbourne Children's Court and will be active in developing strong networks with stakeholders and local services.
The role has significant technical components as well as team leadership and people management components which require an advanced understanding of the Court's practices, procedures and systems as well as highly developed team leadership skills and experience.
