An opportunity has become available for a motivated QA Technician to join our QA Department team in Canning Vale, Perth on Full-Time employment basis.

Key Responsibilities:

- Carry out daily review of GMP in the factory (operational areas) and externally, and help regulate company policies and procedures regarding food safety and compliance
- Conduct Internal Audits of the operational areas for foreign objects and maintain the Glass and Hard Plastics Register for:

- All Fish production areas
- All Lobster production areas
- All Warehouse areas (including packaging warehouse, chemical shed)
- Maintenance Shed
- Assist with organoleptic assessments - Daily, carry out organoleptic product assessments and check retention samples on their best before date evaluate the quality and freshness.
- Review, amend and maintain packing specifications for the production areas
- Inspect returned stock with quality issues, and report on findings
- Help investigate customer feedback reports and internal corrective actions
- Assist with product traceability and RM inspections for quality
- Assist QA with labelling, production trials and first production runs
- Maintain sites calibration register for testing and measuring equipment

Skills / Experience Required
- Previous experience in a similar role
- HACCP trained
- Extensive experience in the food industry or in a food safety inspection role will be an added advantage
- High level of computer literacy including MS Office suite
- Good analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Be reliable, hardworking and self-motivated
- Be able to work in a team environment
- Must have Australian unlimited working rights e.g. Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
