Fire Protection Consultant

**Location: Parramatta, NSW**

Full time: $90,000 - $140,000 per year + Superannuation + Vehicle + Parking + Phone + Long Service Leave

Ceasefire is a passive fire protection company based out of Parramatta providing a range of fire protection services throughout NSW and the ACT. We are currently looking for an experienced Fire Safety Practitioner or Building Surveyor to join our growing team. Experience in the construction sector, particularly as it relates to fire protection, will be highly valued. **The Role - Passive Fire Consultant**

As an experienced Passive Fire Consultant, you will play a crucial role in the Company to deliver passive fire inspection quotes, reports, registers, proposals, and certificates. You will be working closely with management and will receive the necessary support and guidance to successfully complete your role.

**About You**
- Available to work a minimum of 8 hours - Monday to Friday
- Previous experience working in a similar role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with great analytical skills
- Ability to manage deadlines
- Professional and organised
- Great written and verbal communication skills in English
- Able to negotiate with relevant stakeholders on recommendations and proposals
- Capable of developing and maintaining a broad network of contacts within the industry

**Your Duties**
- **Consulting & Advising**: Providing advice on Risk Management, Building Regulations and Access provisions in accordance with fire safety regulations & codes. Collaborate with various stakeholders and team members to communicate fire safety requirements.
- **Registers & Certificates**: You will be responsible for managing & reviewing all passive fire registers submitted by our installation teams on live projects; passive fire matrix development for new projects; and issuing accurate registers and compliance certificates for completed projects.
- **Quotes, Inspections, & Reports**: You will undertake site inspections and review project plans, registers, reports, and assessments to develop accurate and detailed quotes, proposals, and reports.

**Your Skills**
- Strong background in fire safety and excellent understanding of fire protection systems
- Demonstrated ability to understand construction plans and/or reports
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

**Your Qualifications**
- Certificate II or III in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing _OR_
- FPAS accreditation: Inspect & Test and/or Fire Safety Assessment _OR_
- Post graduate qualifications as a Building Surveyor.

**Your Experience**
- **Experience**: Proven experience with a strong foundation in fire protection or building surveying, particularly in the field of passive fire systems.
- **Technical Skills**: Familiar with online and mobile software platforms and able to understand construction plans. Good understanding of fire system requirements, manufacturer test reports/assessments, the relevant Australian Standards, and construction codes.
- **Attention to Detail**: Strong focus on data accuracy/integrity and excellent analytical skills.
- **Reliability**: Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently, meet deadlines and maintain high-quality output.

**Key Requirements**
- Current and valid **White card & NSW Driver’s License**:

- Proven experience & understanding of **fire protection installations, products, & systems**:

- Ability to interpret and understand **manufacturer test reports/approvals**:

- Good understanding of the relevant **construction codes and Australian Standards**:

- Basic ability to interpret **construction plans and reports**:

- Professional **spoken, written, and** **analytical skills**:
