**About the role**
The CyberCX Digital Forensic & Incident Response team (DFIR) is a specialist group of highly motivated, experienced, and qualified experts, who help our clients deal with a wide range of situations that require digital forensic investigation and cyber incident response.

Our team are hands-on practitioners and includes some of the leading experts in our industry, who continue to develop and hone their skills daily on real-life cases. We undertake hundreds of investigations every year, ranging from malware outbreaks to destructive ransomware and data theft extortion attacks, to sophisticated intrusions by foreign nation-state adversaries. We utilise a broad array of tools and techniques, including capabilities that we develop in-house, allowing us to tailor our approach to the specific needs of each investigation.

However, we’re much more than a team of skilled technical experts. We also support our clients on the broader range of needs that arise when incidents occur, bringing our skills in areas such as cyber threat intelligence, enterprise threat hunting, security testing, threat actor engagement, attacker eradication and negotiation, security remediation, crisis communications, privacy advisory, liaison with government agencies and law enforcement, and advice to senior executives and boards.

Duties

Work with other DFIR leaders and team members to deliver successful client engagements in accordance with the technical and professional standards of the DFIR practice, including:

- Leading scoping and engagement of new cases
- Directing and supporting the engagement delivery team
- Actively contributing to the delivery of engagements
- Collaborating with other CyberCX practices on engagements
- Effectively managing all client delivery requirements, and
- Providing expert quality assurance of work and deliverables

Participate in development of technical capabilities and client services for the DFIR practice, including definition of operating procedures, development and integration of new technologies, training of team members, and oversight of capabilities on client engagements.

Support the development and growth of DFIR team members, including contributing to regular discussions and performance reviews, mentoring junior team members, developing training plans, and monitoring staff performance.

Support business development for the DFIR practice, including having an active presence in market, regular collaboration with senior client stakeholders, and scoping of new engagements and services.

Collaborate with other CyberCX practices as required, including on the delivery of client engagements and the development of new capabilities.

**Skills & experience**
- Proven experience leading digital forensic and incident response teams.
- Highly developed understanding of DFIR techniques and toolsets.
- Attainment of relevant DFIR training and certifications.
- Consistent delivery of high-quality technical DFIR work with little guidance.
- Engagement with senior client stakeholders.
- Representation at senior levels across clients and industry.
