**Who is M2P Engineering?**
M2P Engineering are a market leading construction, engineering and fabrication service provider specialising in heavy industrial Structural, Mechanical, and Piping (SMP) projects across Australia.
A few quick notes about what we do:
- To date, our key achievements include major SMP construction projects at remote mine sites, both surface and underground, and industrial facilities in our key operating centres.
- Scopes we have successfully completed include crushing and conveying systems, mineral processing facilities, ventilation, refrigeration, and associated infrastructure.
- We have recently expanded our service offering to include Energy, Oil and Gas projects.
- M2P have several strategically placed workshops across the country where we fabricate heavy industrial pipework, platework and structural steel.
We've built all of this with determination, plenty of hard work and a little bit of luck, in the short space of time, since M2P was established in 2017 by our MD, Adam (although, there is still much more ahead of us that we'd like you to be a part of).
**Want to know more about what could be your new role?**
We are looking for a pragmatic health and safety leader, to join our senior leadership team in supporting M2P's commitment to the wellbeing of our people and those we work with.
Drawing on your proven experience and knowledge, you will mix your time between our Head Office in Teneriffe, national workshops and remote projects; leading and mentoring a team of HSE Advisors.
**The Office**: This role will predominantly be based in our head office in Teneriffe with free onsite parking available. As part of the senior leadership team, you will also provide safety leadership across the business.
**The Team**:Reporting to the Managing Director, you will work closely with the other members of the senior leadership team. Mentoring a team of HSE advisors, you will also work to develop their skills, knowledge and experience, assisting them to provide support to our project-based and workshop teams.
Some of the things you will be responsible for include:
- Continued development and implementation of the organisation’s safety framework, policies, and compliance activities.
- Renewal, development and implementation of contemporary and innovative health and safety strategies to meet our safety performance objectives and legislative requirements.
- Mentoring HSE personnel as well as on-site teams, in the implementation of safety strategies.
- Oversight of injury management and return to work processes.
- Leading investigation processes.
There are a number of skills and qualifications that we believe will support you in succeeding in this role:
- A formal Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Proven leadership ability with a passion for developing people.
- Track record in developing and implementing health and safety strategies to improve organisational safety culture and performance.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar industry, including mining and industrial construction.
- Engineering or trade background, an advantage.
**What’s it like working at M2P?**
Whilst we have experienced substantial growth; we strive to maintain a "small business" feel; where our people are acknowledged and there is a flat management structure, where everyone has access to the leaders of the business and our leaders are involved in a hands-on capacity in the business. We believe in having systems and structures that are practical and effective and support us to get things done. We value behaviours and characteristics such as resilience, agility, being decisive and having the ability to adapt.
We believe someone who resonates with the following, will enjoy and succeed in this role and the working environment:
- You are intrinsically motivated.
- You are a leader, who likes a hands-on approach, getting to sites and "getting your hands dirty".
- You enjoy having a direct impact on how things are done, rather than just witnessing it.
- You are comfortable with changing priorities and capable of "flexing" to differing requirements.
- You enjoy being given the autonomy to complete tasks within agreed guidelines.
The above gives you a taste of who we are, what you will be doing, the way we do things and the environment in which you'll be doing it. If this aligns with your values and how you like to operate, we'd love to hear from you and have you join us in writing the next chapter of M2P history.
