Duty managers at Kmart live and breathe the Kmart values and play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the store by managing the store and leading the team during the span of trading hours in absence of the Store Manager. Our teams are passionate about the work they do and strive to continuously raise the bar

With over 20 stores operating 24 hours a day and all other stores open during extended trading hours, Kmart is now easily accessible for our customers whenever they choose to shop. To ensure we provide a continued service during these extended trading hours, we have a Duty Manager overseeing the operations of the store.

This Duty Manager role is a Part Time role: Wednesday - Sunday evenings working 5pm to 12 Midnight each day.

**What you’ll be doing**

As a Duty Manager in a Kmart store you will:

- Enjoy leading others
- Play a key role in improving our safety culture and results for the store

- Ensure good communication and information sharing with team members

- Demonstrate resilience

**To be successful in this role you’ll have**:

- A solid background in retail, ideally with demonstrated experience working in a supervisory/team leader role
- A passion for delivering results that will motivate your team
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Values that reflect a high level of commitment to ‘safety’, always thinking ‘customer’ and a belief in constantly motivating your team to ‘reach higher’ every day
- The ability to foster strong relationships with team members, peers, customers, and leaders
