About the Role
Duties of the role would include:
- Experienced Teacher or Allied Health therapist who will be supporting children in all areas of their development including learning, memory & cognition, motor skills, sensory, emotional regulation and anxiety, trauma recovery, communication, social skills, self-care and other daily living skills.
- Provision of fun-filled, and engaging therapy which is tailored to participants using a combination of field-related expertise, collaborative input, and creative passion for promoting the best outcomes.
- Creating and implementing therapy plans to support the upskilling of parents/ carers, Key Workers, educators, and the entire team within each child's life.
- Goal setting with clients and their families/ carers.
- Collaboration and correspondence with other professionals as required (Paediatricians, Doctors, teachers, other therapists, work colleagues).
- Developing comprehensive reports and support letters to maximize the outcomes of our families.
- Working within clinic, home, and school settings to deliver supports to each child.
- Upskilling families and carers to best support the needs of their child and achieve optimal outcomes
- Navigating NDIS Plans and supporting families to understand the NDIS process.
- Delivering 1:1 therapy sessions with children
- Collaboration within our amazing multi-disciplinary team to develop informed strategies for working with clients
- Administering relevant assessments across our dynamic caseloads.
- Adapting to the needs of each client in real-time, to ensure that each child really is the Leading Light in their own health journey
- Mentoring and providing advise to other key members of each child's team.

What you will need to succeed in the role
- COMPLETED (Bachelor level or above) Tertiary qualification and Registration with affiliated body.
- NSW & ACT Working With Children Check

Pay: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 28 - 35 per week
