Inklings is an evidenced-based program developed by The Kids Research Institute, which supports babies aged 6-18months who are showing early social and communication differences. Inklings has demonstrated positive outcomes in supporting development in social communication, building caregiver confidence in child-led communication strategies, and fostering nurturing.

**About the role**:
The Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) is recruiting appropriately skilled allied health practitioners to join our team to deliver the Inklings program to allocated infants and their caregivers.

Reporting to the relevant Allied Health Service Manager, this role is integral to the South Australian pilot of the Inklings program of care for young children and their caregiver. Duties for the role will include:

- Working with allocated clients to deliver the established and structured Inklings program to help caregivers understand their baby's behaviour and responses and learn how best to support their baby's social communication development. This program of care will be delivered either in the clients home or if required in clinic or via telehealth.
- Ensuring each participant of the Inklings Program understands their rights and responsibilities, the aims and objectives of the program, their privacy and consents, their options and pathways for feedback and complaints, and the value of their input in completing the evaluation surveys.
- Participating in planned evaluation of the pilot including completion of required data collection and use of Inklings digital platforms.
- Contributing to the development of evidence-based systems, procedures, and protocols, including implementation and review to achieve safe practice, and high-quality patient outcomes implementing Inklings in SALHN.

**About you**:

- Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the relevant Australian Association for your professional field of practice.
- **In addition,**the Inklings practitioner will be required to undertake certification as an Inklings practitioner on commencement of the role.
- Ability to Support Families: Skilled at relating to, working with, and supporting children aged 6-18 months and their families from diverse cultural and vulnerable backgrounds.
- Interpersonal Proficiency: Strong interpersonal skills to foster trust, respect, and collaboration with colleagues, children, and families.
- Self-Reflection and Development: Demonstrated capacity for critical self-evaluation and commitment to ongoing professional development.
