Till Operator

As a Customer Service Representative at The Station Grocer, you will play a vital role in our customer service experience during the evening hours. You will be responsible for operating the console, assisting customers with fuel purchases, processing transactions, and ensuring smooth operations as the day winds down. This position requires you to work independently during the later hours, providing a quieter atmosphere that allows for meaningful customer interactions while maintaining the station’s efficiency and safety.

**Position Details**
- shift times: 2pm-11pm
- shifts / week: 2-3 shifts per week
- We trade 7 days a week, shifts are available for both weekdays and weekends
- Availability on public holidays is preferred
- weekday rates: $33.99/hour weekday (Ages 20+)
- weekend rates: $44.34/hour weekend (Ages 20+)
- requires solo work from 7pm

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate the console system efficiently and accurately
- Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Handle cash, card, and electronic transactions with precision and attention to detail.
- Monitor fuel pumps and maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the fuelling area.
- Assist with restocking shelves, inventory management, and general store maintenance tasks.
- Complete end-of-day procedures, such as reconciling the cash register, locking up, and securing the premises.
- The closing shift requires working independently from 7 PM onward

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions.
- A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a team-oriented culture.
