**HSEQ Advisor**
The HSEQ Advisor will manage the implementation of key projects and programs, which facilitate safety and wellbeing as an embedded sector of Eptec’s culture.

Eptec have been awarded the blast and paint contract on the Collins Class Submarine Full Cycle Dockings in Adelaide. This is an exciting opportunity to work on an Australian Defence project maintaining critical defence assets.
**About the role**:
We are seeking a confident HSEQ Advisor to join our dynamic team based at Osborne, SA. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that sound health, safety, environment, and quality practices are identified, documented, and fully aligned to the key business drivers. You will partner with the business, providing valuable input to the site team to ensure these practices are understood and implemented.
Another key focus area will also include influencing and negotiating stakeholders to achieve cultural change, with the main objective to achieve a Zero Harm work environment.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Participate and provide advice in Zero Harm Committee meetings.
- Facilitate and guide employees to ensure that they report all incidents, injuries, illnesses, near misses, hazardous conditions, emergencies, etc., to their supervisor.
- Maintain personal contact with the customer base to ensure an understanding of needs and issues and provide reliable and accurate technical assistance and meaningful solutions.
- Facilitate inductions, training, and competency assessments of employees and assist in assessing training needs of all personnel.
- Establish and maintain consistent performance standards with regards to organisational and inter-department support, safety, to ensure efficient, respectful, and profitable work practices.
- Establish open and honest lines of communication between all employees and provide support with conflict resolution processes to achieve the best outcome with minimum disruption to the organisation and personnel involved.
- Conduct regular toolbox meetings and associated methods of communication, ensuring safety talks and walks are a regular occurrence.
- Participate in safe workplace reviews, including hazard identification, assessment, control, and monitoring.
- Audit Zero Harm policies, systems, and standards, recommend improvements to management, and coordinate and develop process improvements and standard work methodologies to drive continuous improvement and process stability.
- Deliver accurate, credible, and timely reporting that provides a basis for factual decision-making by Stakeholders.
- Conduct incident management processes, including investigations and sustainable preventative and corrective action monitoring and implementation.
- Work with management and their teams to assist in identifying suitable work for injured employees.
**Key Skills and Experience**:
- Tertiary qualification in Workplace Health & Safety.
- Minimum 2 years’ practical experience in a similar role preferably gained from the Construction and/or Infrastructure sectors, having worked in a medium/large multi-divisional organisation.
- Experience working with (implementing & monitoring compliance) HSE management systems, in particular ISO9001/14001/45001.
- Experience in HSE system implementation, preparation for audits, in particular FSC accreditation being highly desirable.
- Experience in working for an FSC certified company highly desirable.
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment highly desirable.
- Incident investigation training (ICAM and or equivalent).
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with the proven ability to negotiate, facilitate conflict resolution and liaise with both internal and external stakeholders.
- A current driver’s license.
- Ability to work with integrity and dedication to forge strong relationships.
