**Work Type**:Casual (up to 5 days a week) Monday to Friday only between the hours of 8.00am to 4.00pm for at least 3 months (potential for longer employment dependant on Project)

**About the team**

Joining our resource recovery operations team means you will be part of a mission to contribute to a sustainable footprint through the adaption of a 'zero waste' downstream supply chain and operation supports for a circular economy through resource recovery, while advancing community improvement through the provision of safe and meaningful employment opportunities for people with a disability and engagement of local businesses.

**About the opportunity**

Due to the continued company growth, SSANZ is seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join our enthusiastic team of professionals to undertake warehouse related tasks as directed by the Operations Manager and Warehouse & Logistics Coordinator. This position will be based at our depot in Prestons NSW 2170.

**About the role**
- Physical coordination of incoming and outgoing materials
- Forklift responsibilities
- Carry out tasks relating to resource recovery
- Pick, packing and despatching
- Preparation of member install bill of materials
- Inventory control, including physical stocktake
- Data entry as required
- Assist in developing strategies to improve operational constraints
- Maintain and uphold a clean, safe and efficient warehouse environment
- Uphold a safety first approach to all tasks undertaken
- Report any operational issues or equipment failure to the Warehouse & Logistics Coordinator
- Carry out any other tasks as directed by the Warehouse & Logistics Coordinator or Operations Manager
- Driver related tasks such as deliveries and collections on an ad hoc basis - be responsible for collecting recycling materials from our members using a van
- Loading and unloading of the vehicle
- Responsible and cautious driver

**About you**
- Proof of a completed COVID19 vaccination schedule
- Minimum 1 years experience in a similar role
- Current unrestricted Australian car licence
- Current forklift licence
- Proficient with computers and software including Google, Asana, Salesforce with the ability to learn and absorb new systems
- Physically fit with the ability to perform regular lifting of light/medium weight materials
- Professional work ethic and presentable appearance
- Highly organised and efficient
- Developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- National Police Check (required prior to commencement)

**Dress code**

Sustainable Salons branded safety vest will be provided as a required uniform. Steel capped shoes **must** also be worn at all times whilst at the site.

Permitted to work permanently with no restriction on hours (e.g. citizen, permanent resident) (preferred)

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: Up to $34.53 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 38 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
